What are the Australian Government’s plans for aged care in the wake of the Aged Care Royal Commission, and what do those plans mean for service providers, workforces and aged care consumers?
Those questions will be on the agenda when Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care Services Senator the Hon. Richard Colbeck joins Nous Group Principal Stephen Teulan for a discussion at an upcoming interactive livestream hosted by the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA).
The final recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, due in late February, are expected to have a transformative impact on the nation’s aged care sector and the lives of over a million Australians.
In his keynote address, Senator Colbeck is expected to outline the government’s response to the final report and its plans to improve the quality and safety of aged care and its service delivery.
Stephen brings to the discussion deep experience in senior management roles in the health and aged care sectors and led one of Australia’s largest aged care providers. He has led major projects – including significant change programs – in strategy, policy and performance improvement at a national, state and local level.
Stephen and a colleague recently wrote about what the aged care sector is expecting in the Royal Commission final report for the Nous website.
The livestream, “Aged Care Royal Commission: The Way Forward”, will take place on 12 March. Nous is proud to sponsor the event as a member of CEDA.
