Lizzy is a senior consultant with a background in student experience and engagement in higher education. She combines a strategic, multidisciplinary approach with excellent communication skills and an analytical mind. She enjoys understanding the motivations, concerns and interests of clients and stakeholders in working together to develop solutions. Lizzy also has a keen interest in Indigenous Affairs and is an active member of Nous’ Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group.

Influential work

  • Managed the quality assurance stream of a program of individualised leadership and development capability assessments of over 2000 executive level (EL) 1 and 2 staff at a large government department
  • Conducted research, analysis, consultation, facilitation of focus groups, and development of deliverables for the evaluation of the Australian Capital Territory Government’s Human Services Blueprint
  • Conducted research, analysis and stakeholder consultation for a review of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health peak bodies
  • Carried out financial analysis and modelling, research and production of deliverables for a review of an employment services organisation’s growth strategy and business model
  • Conducted research, analysis, consultation and development of recommendations for a student services review at an Australian university, including representation, support, commercial, campus life and sport functions.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous Lizzy was president of the University of Western Australia (UWA) Student Guild. She was responsible for representing UWA’s 20,000+ students, managing over 100 staff and a $2.5M budget, overseeing capital developments of $1.5M+, and engaging with key senior stakeholders. Lizzy has served as a member of the UWA Senate, the board of the UWA Sports and Recreation Association and the National Executive of the National Union of Students. She also has experience in University level teaching, having been a Lab Demonstrator in Functional Anatomy.

Lizzy holds Bachelors of Arts and Science degrees; majoring in anatomy, human biology, European studies, Italian and zoology; and holds an Australian Institute of Company Directors certification in the Duties and Responsibilities of Not-For-Profit Directors.

In her spare time...

Lizzy is an avid reader and accumulator of books, having spent a past life working in second-hand bookstores.
