Stefie is an education and public policy economist. She has worked closely with university executives during periods of change and with government executives to advise on policy across education, research, innovation and human services. Stefie works with universities and government to improve outcomes for communities, citizens and students through policy advice, program and service redesign, and evaluation. She has significant experience in, and passion for, improving outcomes for vulnerable groups.

Influential work

  • Supported nine Australian universities on reshaping courses and programs, including developing new innovative offers, redesigning offers to be more competitive and realising significant efficiency improvements
  • Worked closely with universities to ensure their pricing, product and scholarship are competitive in attracting international students
  • Designed and implemented efficiency and effectiveness improvements with universities across teaching, learning, and professional services
  • Advised government executives on higher education, vocational education and training (VET), international education, research and innovation, including policy proposals for successful cabinet submissions
  • Conducted more than 30 evaluations and cost-benefit analyses policy areas, including quantifying complex non-financial benefits.

Outside of Nous

Stefie was previously part of PwC’s Economics and Policy Consulting team and has worked as a higher education adviser in the public and private sectors.

In her spare time...

Stefie is involved in local community activism, loves learning and practicing her (very bad) French, and has a weakness for discounted designer clothing.
