Stephanie combines strong analytical and research skills with a keen interest in policy and strategy development. She is a strong communicator, able to transform complex information into practical and accessible solutions. As a not-for-profit organisation's (NFP's) board member, she has considerable experience in stakeholder engagement, governance and communications strategy. Stephanie has worked on projects with various government departments and tertiary institutions. She has diverse industry experience across the court and judicial system, consumer affairs, local government and NFPs.

Influential work

  • Developed a zero-tolerance disability abuse prevention strategy with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services to prevent and identify abuse, neglect and exploitation of people with a disability
  • Worked with the innovative justice team in the Victorian Government’s Family Violence Reform Implementation Unit to implement strategic priorities relating to perpetrator interventions
  • Worked with a local council to develop a recommended operating model and high level action plan for regulatory service provision
  • Created a compelling operating model for a youth justice facility which articulated the vision, mission, purpose and philosophy of a new youth justice centre, and key strategic areas of focus which impact facility design
  • Developed a campus activation strategy for Monash University to align with its strategic imperatives.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous Stephanie worked for the Victorian Government in policy and legal teams in various government departments. Her most recent role was as a judge’s associate to Justice Zammit of the Supreme Court of Victoria. Stephanie was the 2016 convenor of Victorian Women Lawyers and continues to serve on the executive committee as an advisor. She is also a board member and Secretary of Australian Women Lawyers.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and French) and a Juris Doctor law degree from The University of Melbourne. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The Australian National University and is a qualified legal practitioner.

In her spare time...

Stephanie enjoys travel and live music and going to wineries, local restaurants and cafes in between reading books and enjoying some sunshine on weekends.
