Stephanie has deep expertise in health financing and health systems design. She brings more than 10 years’ experience partnering with national government agencies across the globe to increase coverage and improve healthcare outcomes. Stephanie is passionate about public health and harnessing data to strengthen accountability and increase quality. She is highly regarded as a strategic thinker who thrives in complex and dynamic environments.

Influential work

  • Led the development and implementation of data analytic software for hospitals, assisting them in harnessing clinically relevant insights to improve health care quality and reduce costs
  • Managed the development of the Primary Health Care Performance Initiative, a global endeavour to catalyse improvements in primary health care through better measurement and knowledge sharing
  • Managed an in-depth assessment of Ghana’s private health sector and developed recommendations for reform aimed at improving public-private engagement
  • Managed the pilot introduction of Kenya’s Healthcare Financing Strategy to inform the financial arrangement of the country’s health insurance scheme
  • Co-led and published the results of a one-year search for private sector innovative financing and delivery models to promote the diffusion of these programs in developing countries.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Stephanie was the vice president of product for CareJourney, a health technology company that assists health care providers in the move to value-based care. Prior to that she worked for several years in international development and health as a program director at the Results for Development Institute and as a senior project manager for the German Development Cooperation. Stephanie started her career in management consulting, first as an associate consultant at Bain & Company and then as a business strategy consultant at Gap Inc.

Stephanie holds a Master of Public Policy, with a concentration in health care policy, from Harvard Kennedy School of Government; and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.

Outside of work, Stephanie can be found playing volleyball, doing yoga or spending time outdoors with her husband and three young children.
