Tess designs solutions to business and social problems through a consultative, human-centred approach. She has consulted widely for clients in times of transformation and deeply understands the many relationships between organizational systems and people. Tess brings extensive experience managing people, resources and performance to implement change from her roles as a project manager and an executive leader in the not-for-profit sector.

Influential work

  • Designed a human-centered service model with accompanying operating model and organization structure for a complex service in dispute resolution
  • Mapped, designed and implemented business improvement solutions to better customer experience in local government organizations across the state
  • Restructured the corporate services function of a disability and aged care provider to increase social impact and respond funding model changes
  • Iteratively designed a leadership program to drive cultural change and increase gender diversity at a large Australian university
  • Designed an operating and financial model for a new not-for-profit organisation including staffing structure, resource allocation and service delivery methods.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Tess was the chief executive officer of a not-for-profit community media organisation in Melbourne, Australia. She is passionate about and has volunteered widely in the not-for-profit sector, including as a board member. Tess’ practical experience in the communication sector provides a robust skillset in internal and external stakeholder consultation to successfully implement change.

Tess holds a Bachelor of Communication (professional communication) from RMIT University.

In her spare time...

Tess spends her weekends in art galleries, live music venues and national parks. She recently took up running but is yet to experience any form of ‘runner’s high’.
