Tim is an experienced consultant who specialises in the education sector and enjoys the challenge of working on complex projects in sensitive stakeholder environments. An expert in higher education strategy and transformation, he focuses on delivering results through quality analyses and expert facilitation that build trust and consensus for change. Tim has worked internally and externally as a consultant for education providers. Clients value the insight he brings through presenting clear and concise analysis.

Influential work

  • Managed a project for a large Ontario-based university to facilitate agreement on a shared vision for its future service provision and designed the structure and roadmap for long-term service transformation
  • Currently managing a project to target university-wide cost-efficiencies for a Canadian U15 university, including designing the approach to deliver savings of more than $100M
  • Currently advising a Canadian U15 university on its international student pricing strategy and approach
  • Developed the model and business case for investment in a first-of-its-kind collaboration project between four leading Australian universities, building agreement and commitment across all parties and developing a case for investment
  • Redesigned a leading higher education provider’s teaching and learning experience, including co-creating a new graduate attribute framework.

Outside of Nous

Tim’s first career was as a professional musician, performing with and administering many of Australia’s leading orchestras and ensembles. He then spent several years at the University of Melbourne, most recently working with the internal management consulting team.

Tim holds an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, and both Bachelor and Masters (research) degrees from the University of Melbourne in Music.

Tim enjoys good food and wine; particularly from Spain, where he tries to travel each year.
