Future of mental health support and services in spotlight at CEDA

Leading mental health decision makers and advocates will discuss holistic approaches to support and services at an upcoming CEDA livestream, sponsored by Nous Group.

In the livestream, facilitator Tim Marney, a Nous Principal, will lead a discussion with Lucinda Brogden AM, the Chair of the National Mental Health Commission, Professor Allan Fels AO, a Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Patron of Mental Health Victoria, and Jason Trethowan, Chief Executive Officer of Headspace.

“Australian governments at all levels have put a spotlight on mental health support and services, and now they are seeking to work with organisations and communities to deliver new models of care,” Tim said. “I’m looking forward to discussing with our expert panellists how we can develop a holistic approach to supporting people experiencing mental health issues.”

Tim has over 28 years’ experience in economics, finance, health and human services. He was the Western Australian Under Treasurer for almost a decade. He followed this with over five years as WA's Mental Health Commissioner. During his public service career Tim worked directly to four premiers and 11 ministers. Tim served as a board member for Beyond Blue for 11 years, nine of which as Deputy Chair.

The livestream will take place on Tuesday, 4 May, at 1pm AEST. To find out more and to secure your place, head to the CEDA event website.Nous Chief Economist Tim Marney
