Arthur is a strategist with a creative approach to solving problems and who harnesses the best of design thinking and management consulting to help organisations – big and small – think strategically, innovate and transform. He focuses on the intersection of service design and transformation, working with clients to generate customer insights to transform their organisations.

Influential work

  • Guided a large Melbourne university through a strategic design process to transform the student experience; including through researching trends; and conducting interviews, workshops and experience mapping sessions
  • Melded strategy with design thinking to help a client take a more customer-centric approach based on the big strategic trends shaping their market and their customers’ evolving needs
  • Took a human-centred design approach to define the information needs of school principals based on key decisions they regularly had to make to improve students’ learning outcomes
  • Designed and delivered a hackathon, based on a human-centred design methodology, for 80 public sector leaders to tackle seven challenges facing the sector.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Arthur worked closely with the UK Government as a management consultant on a range of defence, security and intelligence sector transformation programs in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, spending a lot of time grappling with complex behavioural and cultural dynamics to deliver contextually appropriate and human-centred change.

Arthur has a Master of Science in International Development from The University of Bath, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of North Carolina. He is also a certified Change Management and Agile Project Management Practitioner.

In his spare time...

Arthur loves great coffee and food and will be found most weekends perusing cafes and restaurants. He is always on the look-out for books that offer new ways of thinking.
