Christina brings extensive international experience along with quantitative and qualitative analytical skills in the public policy and not-for-profit sectors. She has a passion for education and marginalised communities’ rights and for delivering lasting evidence-based strategies to reduce inefficiencies. Prior to Nous, Christina worked on academic research, education policies, business strategy, and public policy analysis. She is intrigued to bring together these different approaches and perspectives to provide clients with innovative and well-rounded solutions.

Influential work

  • Founded and directed a non-profit organisation; developing and facilitating Maori educational curriculum in high schools across New Zealand
  • Collaborated with the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and with various North American indigenous communities from the Inuit people of Nunavut to the Diné Navajo people of Arizona on alternative education models
  • Guest-lectured at various educational institutions, and with TEDx, about indigenous perspectives on progress.
  • Carried out financial analysis and modelling, research and production of deliverables for a review of a tertiary educational institution entering the online education market.

Outside of Nous

Before Nous, Christina founded and directed Maui & the Movement, a not-for-profit Maori education organisation. She was also a Business Strategy Consultant for a US educational institution entering the online market. Other roles included leading student-run consulting groups conducting financial, branding and marketing analyses for not-for-profit and small businesses in Vermont and California.

Christina holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Politics & Economics from Middlebury College. While attaining her BA she studied at the University of Oxford and Semester at Sea. She holds masters-level certificates from Middlebury in Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution, as well as masters-level certificates in public policyanalysis and international affairs from the University of California Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy.

In her spare time...

Christina is a hip-hop dancer, baker, Motown soul singer and avid traveller. She can usually be found playing or watching sports from soccer to rugby to outrigger, or reading philosophy.
