Back to all people
Conrad has more than five years’ experience across services sectors including health, ageing, disability, Indigenous affairs and education. With a deep interest in ensuring all people can access the services they deserve and desire, Conrad partners with clients on their strategy and transformation agendas to deliver great outcomes. His analytical, curious and impact-focused mindset has led to him building expertise in strategic planning, research, facilitation, implementation, service design, diversity and inclusion, co-design and impact measurement.

Influential work

  • Developed the five-year enterprise strategic path for a national services organisation through six months of participatory design workshops, resulting in a dynamic plan with strong stakeholder buy-in
  • Supported a national service provider in rapidly re-designing its operating model and change plan to respond to imminent COVID-19 pressures
  • Managed the development and co-design of a national organisation’s four-year First Nations Employment Strategy
  • Conducted a rapid swarm to address immediate retention and recruitment pressures for an organisation facing sector-wide workforce challenges, developing a suite of recommendations to relieve pressure immediately
  • Implemented an innovative voice-enabled communications tool in health and senior living facilities that pioneered the use of voice technology in improving patient and resident experience.

Outside of Nous

Prior to Nous, Conrad was a strategist at Australia’s largest social enterprise, Goodstart Early Learning. Here, he learned the inner workings of a large services organisation, developed an even greater respect for front-line professionals and experienced first-hand the role of culture in landing transformational change. Preceding this, Conrad consulted for Deloitte across its social impact, health and human services portfolio.

Conrad also regularly performs as a professional cellist across the classical, commercial and mindfulness genres. He presented his cello yoga work in a talk at TedXSydney 2020 titled “the connection of mind, movement and music”. He enjoys taking the experimental and exploratory nature of music to problem solving with his clients.

Conrad holds a Master of Sustainability (population health) from The University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Music (cello) from The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He founded The University of Sydney’s Effective Altruism Society.

In his spare time...

Conrad enjoys camping on the coast in his converted SUV, being a puppy (and human) uncle, practicing and teaching yoga, hosting dinner parties and extra parmesan cheese.
