Daniel is an adept problem solver and an innovative thinker. Daniel’s experience in a top-tier law firm has instilled him with a deep understanding of both private and public sector clients.

Influential work

  • Advised one of the world’s largest transportation providers – a Fortune 500 company – on its market entry strategy into Australia
  • Assisted a leading, Australian Stock Exchange (ASX)-listed real estate group with its decision to purchase one of the largest shopping precincts in Western Australia for $140 million
  • Identified strategies for an ASX-listed technology company to raise capital in order to develop its fast-growing business and meet its contractual commitments
  • Led a team to revitalise and grow an Australian university’s student publication, leading to cost savings of over $10,000 and an increase in readership from 4000 to over 20,000
  • Advised on the organisational restructure and rationalisation of an international company’s Australian business leading to significant cost savings for the overall group.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Daniel worked in the corporate mergers and acquisitions team at MinterEllison, a top-tier law firm headquartered in Australia, advising multinational corporations and large Chinese government-owned entities on their investments in Australia. He was also treasurer of The University of Western Australia’s (UWA) Student Guild, managing its $2.5 million budget and representing over 20,000 students.

Daniel holds bachelors of law and commerce from UWA, a graduate diploma of legal practice, and was admitted to the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of WA.

In a previous life, Daniel was on the WA Junior State Squad for golf, winning multiple tournaments and ranked as one of the best junior golfers in WA.

In his spare time...

Daniel enjoys the outdoors and engaging in extreme sports such as golf and light jogs along the river. He also enjoys his music by playing guitar and piano in his spare time.
