Daphne is an information security and privacy professional with experience in technology risk, privacy advisory and incident management. She is passionate about helping organisations understand how to foster a strong privacy and security culture, and enabling staff and clients alike to understand how they can protect personal and corporate information.

Influential work

  • Managed the enterprise privacy team for an ASX20 company and developed a privacy engagement strategy to guide engagement with industry, academia, government and internal staff
  • Lead a cross-functional project team to produce the first annual security threat report for a large telecommunications provider, leveraging operational intelligence and reporting to inform executives of the organisation’s current security environment
  • Developed cyber analysis and information security advice products for a federal government agency to raise awareness of cyber security issues and assist organisations in improving their security posture.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Daphne was the senior privacy lead at Telstra, leading the corporate privacy team while also providing specialist privacy technology advice to the enterprise. Prior to this, Daphne worked as a cyber influence manager at Telstra and an information security communications advisor for the Australian Government Department of Defence.

Daphne holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Business Administration from Monash University. She is currently secretary of the Northern Community Legal Centre.

In her spare time...

Daphne is keenly interested in mentoring and personal development and works with mentees from a variety of different professional backgrounds. She enjoys playing piano, singing and the occasional video game.
