Ed has over 17 years’ experience solving complex strategy and organisational performance improvement challenges across a wide range of industries and disciplines. He understands what is required to develop winning strategies and implement them effectively, bringing together his consulting expertise with broad experience from senior corporate roles in human resources (HR), product and offer, strategy and operations. Clients value the sharp focus on strategic performance drivers, analytical rigour and engaging style that Ed brings to all complex organisational challenges.

Influential work

  • Provided secretariat support for an independent review of remuneration, performance management and culture across the retail banking sector
  • Led design and execution of an innovative industry engagement strategy for a financial services regulator to support a complex data transformation program
  • Led the design, implementation and subsequent expansion of a multi-channel sales and service model for a major bank’s self-managed super fund clients
  • Led the implementation of post-merger HR integration and transformation initiatives for a division of a major bank after one of the largest mergers in Australian corporate history
  • Led implementation of a multi-stream sales force effectiveness program for a large wealth manager’s business development team, contributing to a 44% uplift in investment platform flows over six months.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous Ed worked for the BT Financial Group, where he held several national roles across their self-managed superannuation fund, platforms and insurance distribution and financial advice businesses. He has also worked in HR for Westpac, where he led HR Strategy and Performance Management & Reward for the Product & Operations division.

Ed holds degrees in Business Administration and Arts (Psychology) from Macquarie University. He has previously mentored small business owners through Many Rivers, a microfinance not-for-profit organisation; and the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

In his spare time...

Ed loves family, sport and live music. If he’s not at work, it’s family time with his wife and two boys – unless he’s golfing or at a music festival.
