Emily has spent three-and-a-half years in the Australian Defence Force, receiving extensive training on leadership, administration and management. She has a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Indonesian and Politics; and has training in planning, strategy and risk analysis. During her time in the ADF she was afforded international relations opportunities and skill development in Japan and Indonesia.

Influential work

  • Produced written documents, briefs, speeches and presentations on short notice, receiving multiple Commanding Officer Commendations for output quality
  • Managed an ADF sporting club of 150 personnel, leading a committee to successfully deliver outcomes that aligned with superiors’ and members’ expectations
  • Represented the ADF Academy as an international relations exchange at the Japanese National Defence Academy (JNDA), liaising with JNDA to build positive relationships through International Cadet Rugby Competition, endorsed by the Chief of Defence Force.

Outside of Nous

Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts (Indonesian and politics) from the University of NSW and is currently studying a Postgraduate Certificate in Domestic Violence Policy and Management at the Queensland University of Technology.

In her spare time...

Emily enjoys playing Rugby Union and catering for events for her business, Save the Graze. She loves camping, cooking, travelling and going to the beach when she can.
