Emily worked as an intern at Nous Group for two years and now works as a consultant in the Business and Digital Strategy practice group. She is an energetic, creative and analytical problem solver; and combines this with strong analytical and communication skills to deliver engaging solutions to clients’ challenges. Emily has worked on numerous strategic projects with ‘group of eight’ universities, as well as projects with government and financial services clients.

Influential work

  • Worked with university executive and other stakeholders to provide a roadmap for improving the university’s international reputation
  • Assisted a leading NSW university to develop a pricing strategy in response to government reforms to higher education
  • Evaluated the effectiveness, adequacy and impact of reforms to vocational education; involving assessing current training outcomes through extensive stakeholder interviews, focus groups and surveys
  • Worked with an expert panel to review an educational standards board and producing strategic advice on governance and future directions in education.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Emily was a clerk at Herbert Smith Freehills, a paralegal for the global infrastructure company Transfield Services, and an associate for the mid-tier multi-services financial firm Enrizen.

Emily is the CEO for Out for Australia, a non-for-profit organisation that seeks to support and mentor aspiring LGBTIQ professionals, and a public speaker and advocate for the mental health organisation Batyr.

Emily holds bachelors of law and science from the University of Sydney. During this time she was involved in the international executive of the student organisation 180 Degrees Consulting, and undertook exchanges to the University of Hawaii and to Radboud University in the Netherlands.

In her spare time...

Emily loves all water activities; including ocean swimming, surfing, and waterpolo. She plays her drum kit to release stress, and enjoys relaxing with jazz music or a good television drama.
