Emma has over five years of experience in the private sector. This has included providing tax consulting and compliance services, and more recently risk consulting services across key risk areas with a focus on social risks to top Australian Stock Exchange (ASX)-listed companies and government departments.

Influential work

  • Provided assurance and consulting services to top ASX-listed companies in relation to their social risks with a focus on capturing and reporting useful and reliable data to drive organisational progress
  • Reviewed workplace health and safety frameworks against legislation, best practice and group standards; assessing and responding to issues relating to the relevance and usefulness of frameworks for different business units and stakeholders
  • Created comprehensive monthly reports detailing environmental and social issues for a major Australian oil company and quarterly round-ups involving key issues analysis
  • Completed sustainability benchmarking surveys for ASX-listed companies, including providing feedback and input to successfully raise scores from previous submissions
  • Reviewed and remediated financial planning advice given by licensees of major banks under a large scale Australian Securities and Investment Commission review.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Emma was a sustainability and climate change consultant in PwC’s risk consulting team. She holds a Bachelor of Business from University of Technology, Sydney and is a provisional member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Emma is also the treasurer for a community organisation that provides arts services in the Warringah area.

In her spare time...

Emma loves the outdoors; especially camping, hiking and cycling. She also plays the trumpet in various community bands and enjoys reading and cooking for family and friends.
