Jane has over 35 years’ experience in senior management positions across non-government and government organisations. She has managed major reform agendas; led complex community services, policy and strategy development; developed place-based solutions and partnership agreements; and led stakeholder and community engagement in highly-contested policy areas.

Influential work

  • Led major reforms in youth justice, child protection and child and family services; as well as domestic family and sexual violence strategy work
  • Led development and implementation of a major package of alcohol reforms in the Northern Territory (NT)
  • Led the development and implementation of 35 Alcohol Management Plans across the NT in a constantly changing policy environment
  • Led the development of Remote Learning Partnership Agreements with Aboriginal communities, targeted at new ways of learning and getting kids to school
  • Led service system reforms for the NT Aboriginal Health and Families Five Year Plan, including workforce reforms in remote communities, the development of one-stop health and family centres and managing pathways to community-controlled health services.

Outside of Nous

Jane spent 20 years working in the NT as the CEO NT Council of Social Services, as a senior manager in a wide range of government departments and as a Senior Advisor to an NT Minister. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), a Diploma of Education and a Graduate Diploma of Public Policy from the University of Melbourne; a Master of Business Management from Victoria University; and a Graduate Diploma of Community Development from the Phillip Institute.

In her spare time...

Jane likes travelling, bush-walking, camping and enjoying nature, cycling, swimming reading and cultural events.
