Jenna-Maree is a graduate consultant in Nous’ Brisbane office. She works closely and collaboratively with a broad range of clients on their most pressing problems and to improve their organisational performance. Since completing her studies in communications and journalism, Jenna-Maree has worked in health communications, education, government and the tourism industry.

Influential work

  • Developed key messages and content for ABC radio broadcast and social media platforms
  • Wrote media releases and newsletter content, developed key marketing messages and supported events for the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW)
  • Developed key messages and content for internal newsletter and social media channels and supported events and stakeholder engagement at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (ATSICHS)
  • Created marketing and communications content for web and social media, and undertook events planning and stakeholder engagement activities at The BlackCard Pty Ltd
  • Engaged with schools and the local community to provide information about pathways into university, as a student ambassador at Queensland University of Technology (QUT’s) Oodgeroo Unit and Explore Uni team
  • Undertook research and journalistic reporting on student activities for QUT’s Oodgeroo Unit.

Outside of Nous

Jenna-Maree is a proud Kuku Yalanji woman from Cairns, Far North Queensland. She also has connections to Mossman and Yarrabah.

Jenna-Maree has experience working in various roles in health communications, the tourism industry, education, and government. She has worked in government roles including for the Australian Departments of Human Services and of Communities, Child Safety & Disability Services. She was also a student ambassador at QUT’s Oodgeroo Unit and Explore Uni team, and a reporter for the university’s e-newsletter. Jenna-Maree has interned in various communication roles including for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and AIHW.

Jenna-Maree holds a Bachelor of Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Honours) from QUT.

In her spare time...

Jenna-Maree enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying out new cafes and restaurants, and travelling: her recent trips to Uluru and Tasmania represent an effort to see more of Australia.
