Jon was previously a principal at ACIL Allen Consulting and a senior economic advisor at the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet. He also worked with Professor Ross Garnaut on the Garnaut Climate Change Review in 2008 and again in 2011 on issues relating to market failure, innovation and the electricity sector.
Jon is a director of Conservation Volunteers Australia, one of the largest environmental organisations in Australia and which works to attract and manage volunteers to participate in projects that protect or enhance the environment. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in economics and a Master of Public Health in health economics from The University of Melbourne.
In his spare time, Jon juggles the joys of being a father of four. South-East Queensland is a large and picturesque playground that the Chew family has only just started to explore.
