Joy has extensive experience in advanced analytics techniques and their applications in businesses, including predicting customer churn, forecasting demand, optimising supply chains and modelling finances. With an undergraduate degree in economics and language studies, Joy articulates data-driven solutions and assists clients make informed pivotal decisions.

Influential work

  • Developed a scorecard to quantify the performance and technology stack of a digital retailer, which is used as an e-commerce benchmarking tool
  • Formulated a data regulation checklist for a global market research company and performed gap analysis to find loopholes in company data regulation in response to Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Assisted the development of a campaign strategy for a new mobile application launch across eight Asian countries, including conducting quantitative and qualitative research on the smartphone markets and identifying the key drivers of smartphone penetration
  • Strategised the launch of first robo-advisory financial planning services in Taiwan, including conducting surveys and analysing responses to identify customers’ preferences for financial planning services.

Outside of Nous

Prior to Nous, Joy gained experience in finance, fast-moving consumer goods and e-commerce through her internships. As an analytics enthusiast, she is continuously improving her technical skills and hopes to lead revolutionary transformations in both private and public sectors.

She is also a senior member of the Voluntary Social Service Association, dedicated to the education of Taiwanese aboriginal schoolkids.

Joy holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and Master of Business Analytics from Melbourne Business School.

In her spare time...

Joy is a hardcore tea drinker, food enthusiast, gym regular and dog whisperer. She is also a proud postcard appreciator, having a collection of postcards from more than 30 cities.
