Julia is a consultant with over four years’ experience supporting clients across the private and public sectors in utilities, products and government industries. She has experience on teams delivering business transformations, operational excellence programs, strategic development and execution, procurement reviews, technology alignment strategies, strategic due diligence, efficiency and profitability modelling and program management support. Clients and colleagues value Julia’s positive and pragmatic working style. She takes pride in forming ongoing working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Influential work

  • Led development of technology alignment strategies across two lines of business in a New South Wales (NSW) Government organisation, identifying solutions to improve connectedness between Australians and the government
  • Led a workstream in an efficiency diagnostic of a New Zealand electricity company, identifying $12M savings across strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Supported an efficiency diagnostic in a newly-privatised electricity company and established a transformation office that supported the deployment of business-wide initiatives
  • Conducted a vegetation management tender review for a large electricity company to develop recommendations to ensure they were on track to achieve value while supporting the development of the contractor market
  • Conducted a post-merger functional diagnostic of two water companies and developed industry improvement strategies that were sponsored by the NSW Government.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Julia was a senior associate at Third Horizon, where she gained management consulting experience across utilities, government and products industries. She also has experience interning at the Institute of Executive Coaching & Leadership, CTR Market Research (Shanghai) and IAG.

Julia holds a Master of Management and a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney. Whilst at university, Julia was president of the Master of Management Society and a student representative on the Graduate Studies Board.

In her spare time...

Julia most enjoys spending time with family, cooking, travel and reading. When she gets the chance, she also enjoys having a go at fly fishing and wine making.
