Before joining Nous, Julian worked at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, where he focused particularly on intergovernmental relations, health and regulatory reform. Before that, he held roles in intergovernmental relations and regulatory reform in the Australian Department of Finance and Queensland Treasury.
Julian holds qualifications in Law and Business (Public Relations) from the Queensland University of Technology, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a legal practitioner.
Julian is a sports, news and politics junkie (not necessarily in that order). He enjoys helping out at his local rugby club and, when he’s lucky, skiing.
