Katie is a public policy-focused consultant based in Canberra. She combines strong research and analytical capabilities with excellent communication skills to develop tailored and innovative solutions to complex problems. Prior to joining Nous she consulted to not-for-profit organisations (NFPs).

Influential work

  • Worked with two state and one Australian education agencies to develop a joint policy approach for the early childhood education of vulnerable three- and four-year-olds; involving collaborating with multiple stakeholders and extensively researching national and international best-practice
  • Worked with a large government agency to refresh its internal governance, including benchmarking current governance arrangements against those of comparable agencies
  • Supported a Centre of Research Excellence in the health sector to refine and prioritise its research priorities and develop a new approach to stakeholder engagement and research translation
  • Worked with a large government department to benchmark levels of female representation in senior leadership roles relative to other public agencies.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Katie consulted tko NFPs. She also worked at Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Health, analysing and managing data related to bleeding disorders as part of a program funded by the National Blood Authority.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from The Australian National University.  She majored in English and criminology and has a keen interest in the intersection between law, justice and the humanities.

In her spare time...

Katie spends her spare time playing roller derby, reading and enjoying vintage culture. She recently returned from an internship at Disney World where she created magic for guests every day.
