Katrina has over 15 years’ experience in organisational change and development, program management and general human resources (HR) practices. She has worked in Australia, the United Kingdom and the Pacific Islands. She has strong industry experience in the health, legal, international development sectors, as well as in local and federal government. Katrina is a strategic thinker whose strengths lie in her ability to engage and partner with clients to understand their needs and devise solutions to achieve their strategic outcomes.

Influential work

  • Supported an organisational change program for a Papua New Guinea (PNG) national government department; including a holistic redesign of the department, job redesign and career path mapping, and the development and implementation of a suite of HR and gender equity policies
  • Facilitated workshops for government and private sector organisations for strategic planning initiatives, team building activities and training workshops in the areas of the development of job descriptions, recruitment and workforce planning
  • Managed the start-up and on-going activities of international health programs funded by the Australian Government, including annual planning and monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Worked closely with the senior management team of one of Australia’s largest local councils to develop and implement a national recruitment and attraction strategy
  • Worked closely with a large state government department to redesign and manage the change processes for the implementation of new structures for key functional areas of the department.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Katrina worked in line roles and in a project capacity for organisations including Abt Associates, Coffey International Development and McInnes Wilson Lawyers; as well as for Australian local and federal government agencies.

Katrina holds a Masters in International Relations from Griffith University, Bachelors of Commerce and Arts from Deakin University and Certificate III in Public Administration.

Katrina is passionate about giving back to her community and has taken on a number of volunteer commitments. She is the current Victorian state president for the Australian Multiple Birth Association, has previously volunteered for the Multicultural Development Association and was heavily involved in Soroptimist International in both Australian and PNG for a number of years.

When not busy with work, volunteering or her four young children Katrina enjoys running, yoga, travel and getting together with friends.
