Driven by her intellectual curiosity and passion for problem-solving, Laura is committed to developing innovative solutions to help businesses succeed. Throughout her professional career, she has built up a wealth of experience across the corporate, government and private sector, while also harbouring a deep interest in the start-up space through her student-led leadership role in BusinessOne Consulting.

Influential work

  • Assisted in the user experience design and strategic delivery of an internal sales tool to streamline the acquisition process for an international financial services organisation
  • Delivered a high-level operating model redesign for a major news organisation to drive service transformation through an integrated sales and marketing function, with projected benefits worth $2M
  • Conducted vendor due diligence for a major private equity client in the construction sector, reviewing the organisation’s core business drivers to determine the go-to-market potential for its product pipeline
  • Developed a centralised, automated, human resources analytics tool to monitor and manage staff key performance indicators to be rolled out across New South Wales (NSW) Health Districts
  • Conducted internal audits across government agencies and ASX200 companies to assess the effectiveness of key controls and develop strategic risk management frameworks and compliance practices through process-mapping.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Laura completed various internships at American Express, L.E.K. Consulting, Blackdot Consulting and KPMG International, providing her with a strong background in strategy consulting and business insights. She is an active member of the University of NSW (UNSW) community through her involvement in six student societies. In particular, she served as the co-president of BusinessOne Consulting, a pro-bono student consultancy that provides strategic advice to start-ups; and has held an executive position as a sponsorship director for one of the largest professionally-focused finance networks in Australia: the Financial Management Association of Australia (FMAA).

Laura holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Media (PR and advertising) from the University of New South Wales. She represented UNSW in various domestic and international business case competitions, including the Thammasat Undergraduate Business Challenge (2018) and [email protected] (2019).

In her spare time...

Laura loves volunteering, snorkelling and exploring new cuisines. She’s currently binging Money Heist on Netflix and can’t resist a good TV series!
