Liam uses strong skills in communication, research and analysis to structure and solve complex problems. His consulting approach is multidisciplinary. Liam draws upon a strong foundation in economics and an understanding of political influences to bring fresh insight to client challenges. Liam has worked with clients from the private, government and not-for-profit (NFP) sectors across human services, higher education, health and financial services.

Influential work

  • Developed an interactive, online toolkit for NFPs considering a merger. This toolkit will assist not-for-profit organisations analyse the grounds for a merger, find a suitable partner, negotiate the terms and successfully manage integration
  • Developed the implementation plan for reforms of a major national regulator who sought to embed a risk-based approach to regulation and to ensure public safety
  • Adapted a series of theoretically-validated measures to enable a high profile not-for-profit organisation to evaluate project outcomes across a number of areas
  • Assisted the development of the Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) on a nation-wide quality and safeguards framework for the NDIS.

Outside of Nous

Liam’s experience prior to Nous includes work as an analyst at Social Ventures Australia. He also coached the Victorian Schools Debating Team for two years.

Liam studied economics and Mandarin Chinese in a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Languages (University of Melbourne). He is currently completing a Master of Economic Analysis (University of Sydney).

Out of the office, Liam loves to learn through travel, books, conversation and cooking.
