Prior to Nous Liza was a Director-General in the Queensland public service and had senior roles in the Australian Government Departments of Prime Minister and Cabinet and Social Services. Liza has partnered with the community services sector in program delivery for 20 years, leading strategic policy reforms, program design and development and operational delivery in social services, Indigenous affairs, family and children’s policy and building policy. She has held board roles with Economic Development Queensland and Health and Wellbeing Queensland.
Liza holds a Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood/Primary) from the Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor and a Master of Education from James Cook University.
Liza enjoys cycling and bushwalking and spending time with her family, including her two spoilt Cavoodles. She loves to travel and explore new places.
