Lotte is a graduate consultant with a Master of Arts (development studies) and a Bachelor of Arts (liberal arts and sciences). She has researched and presented on asylum-seeking for LGBTI+ individuals in Australia and the Netherlands and provided ethics training at the Ethics Office of the UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency). Lotte also has experience working for two non-government organisations based in Switzerland, as well as UNAIDS (the joint United Nations program on HIV/AIDS) and a digital advertising and consulting agency, Wunderman-Bienalto.

Influential work

  • Worked in the Ethics Office of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, providing ethics training and advice to the global workforce
  • Completed a master’s dissertation at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies on sexuality and gender identity refugee determination interviews in Australia
  • Consulted for UNAIDS on the ‘Fast-Track Cities Initiative’ on improving HIV testing and treatment with in cities
  • Conducted strategy research for the Victorian Government’s $30 million participatory budgeting program.

Outside of Nous

Lotte holds a Master of Arts (development studies) from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva Switzerland and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences from University College Ultrecht (UCU), the Netherlands.

She was co-founder of the Queer Alliance UCU, the first LBGTQ organisation at UCU, advocating for inclusion and representation of LGBTQ students; and Vice Chair and Project Leader of Enactus UCU, an international network of student led social entrepreneurship.

In her spare time...

Lotte likes to stay active and spend time outdoors – climbing, swimming or running. She also enjoys going to gigs, making her own peanut butter and having a beer with friends.
