Michael is an experienced project manager and strategic advisor with a focus on health and global development. His experience includes positions in intergovernmental organisations, government, academia and the private sector. Michael joined Nous after nearly five years living and working overseas. He brings skills gained through this international experience to the Australian context.
Before joining Nous, Michael worked for the United Nations Development Programme in New York, where he specialised in knowledge and program management. Prior to this he worked in Kathmandu, Nepal, with the Ministry of Health and Population. In Australia, Michael has worked in research roles for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and the University of New South Wales, and as a project coordinator for Communio, a boutique health and human services consulting firm.
Michael has a particular interest in global health and international development. In addition to his work in Nepal, his previous experience also includes projects in China, Fiji, Guatemala, Turkey and the Solomon Islands.
Outside of the office you are likely to find Michael baking in the kitchen or working off all those pastries in the pool.
