Michelle is a skilled partnership broker across the not-for-profit, private, public and education sectors; working closely with clients and stakeholders to address complex social issues. Her focus on collaboration, human-centred design and innovation is matched with a practical approach to program design and project management. Michelle understands the complexities of operating in dynamic environments, and has expertise in building organisational capability and facilitating shared-value partnerships to deliver impact at scale.

Influential work

  • Co-developed a pro bono and sector leadership initiative with leading engineering and infrastructure corporations to enable greater social value creation within core business activities
  • Managed the implementation of a multinational corporate body’s corporate sustainability strategy in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Led the strategic development and implementation of a regional aid program that contributed to host countries’ National Development Plans and local organisations’ capacity-building
  • Led the design and implementation of a flagship community engagement program as part of a leading Australian university’s transformative learning strategy; including facilitating strategic planning, change management, operational processes and organisational capacity development
  • Facilitated stakeholder engagement and the design of program support for key stakeholders in the roll-out of the Koori Courts in Victoria.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Michelle held senior leadership roles in the not-for-profit sector and consulted to businesses, government and education institutions to develop innovative new programs. Her work focused on building strategic partnerships that leverage cross-sector resources to deliver high levels of community impact, organisational engagement and skills development.

Michelle currently serves as a director on the Inner North Community Foundation and the xPand Foundation. She holds a Master of Applied Anthropology and Participatory Development (Humanitarian Action), Bachelors of Laws and Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She is also an Accredited Partnership Broker.

In her spare time...

Michelle is a world traveller who enjoys exploring new cultures and cuisines. You’ll often find her behind a camera, at the beach or flying through the air on a trapeze.
