Nick is experienced in the tertiary education sector and passionate about applying his knowledge in philosophy, international relations and economics to discovering innovative and practical solutions to complex problems. He has extensive volunteer experience and brings a strong skillset in research, stakeholder engagement and analysis.

Influential Work

  • Founded the University of Tasmania Table Tennis Club, growing it to over 60 members (mostly interstate and international students) and established its community presence
  • Implemented a four-year strategic plan for Table Tennis Tasmania to grow the sport and improve administrative processes, with over 90 key performance indicators and an 85% completion rate
  • Contributed to the Australian National University’s (ANU) submission to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security’s Inquiry into national security and risks affecting the Australian higher education and research sector
  • Presided over the Tasmanian University Union sports council, with 32 affiliated clubs and a $250,000 budget.

Outside of Nous

Nick is currently completing his Master of International Relations at the ANU having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in philosophy and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Tasmania.

Prior to joining Nous, Nick worked in research administration and government relations at the ANU. He has also held various volunteer roles, including President and Director of Development of Table Tennis Tasmania; Sports President of the Tasmanian University Union; Director of Finance for UN Youth Tasmania; and multiple roles for Tennis Australia, including chair/line umpire and Russian team liaison.

In his spare time...

Nick enjoys being active through social sports, hiking and skiing. He also loves reading non-fiction, learning languages and travelling.
