Nick has significant experience in the organisational performance arena, having spent the last eight years moving between consulting and in-house organisational development roles. He has specialised experience in the areas organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, employee consultation, culture and broader organisational development. Nick has worked for organisations including those in the transport and logistics sector; and for universities and federal and state governments.

Influential work

  • Undertook executive-level organisational design for an insurance and financial services organisation
  • Developed and implemented new finance, procurement, safety and human resources operating models for a large transport organisation; including researching best practice and extensive focus group consultation
  • Explored the organisational culture at a large logistics organisation, including via a tailored cultural assessment questionnaire and employee focus groups to identify recommendations for change
  • Developed and continued to manage workforce planning strategy and related workforce development initiatives for a large transport organisation; including extensive use of quantitative workforce data, strategy facilitation workshops and workforce focus groups
  • Developed a career management framework for corporate functions of an Australian university for application across a broader network of Australian universities.

Outside of Nous

Nick worked as a human capital senior associate at Mercer Consulting before joining Nous. He was also previously employed as manager of workforce planning and manager of organisational design and review at Queensland Rail. He holds a Master of Organisational Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Psychology) from the University of Queensland.

In his spare time...

Nick is kept busy by his young son, Ethan; frequents live music gigs; and is a diehard Queensland Reds and Wallabies fan.
