Nicole is a highly capable and commercially astute adviser with more than 20 years’ experience in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, particularly in higher education, health, and transport and roads. She brings extensive experience in large-scale transformation and change management, human resources and organisational development. Nicole has held executive roles in large organisations and has extensive experience partnering with executive clients.

Influential work

  • Led the transformation of the human resources (HR) service for a university; including strategy, services, delivery model, structure, customer experience and capability to align to the business strategy
  • Partnered with the CEO and executives to lead an organisational transformation program covering strategy, operating model, governance, structure, and resources that delivered significant financial and non-financial benefits
  • Led the employee arrangements for the successful transmission of business and outsourcing of services in the higher education and healthcare sectors
  • Partnered with executives on business improvements initiatives; including advising on organisational design, change management, leadership, industrial relations, enhancing performance and process improvement to deliver the business priorities
  • Led a team and advised a not-for-profit organisation to prepare for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Nicole was the director of HR at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).  She held senior roles in the Queensland Government, including as deputy director-general corporate at Transport and Main Roads, and the head of people and culture at Gold Coast and Central Queensland Health Services.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, Graduate Diploma of Psychology from Griffith University, and a Master of Business Administration from QUT.  She is a member of the Stepping Stone management committee, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course, and a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.

In her spare time...

Nicole enjoys the beach, reading and bushwalking and has an interest in health and wellbeing.
