Nicole is a highly capable and commercially astute adviser with more than 20 years’ experience in the private, public and not-for-profit (NFP) sectors, particularly in higher education, health, and transport and roads. She brings extensive experience in large-scale transformation and change management, human resources and organisational development. Nicole has held executive roles in large organisations and has extensive experience partnering with executive clients.

Influential work

  • Led development of a university’s human resources service to align it with the business’ strategy, enhance the employee experience and improve customer-centricity
  • Advised a NFP organisation on its preparation for the National Disability Insurance Scheme to increase its commercial focus while maintaining its commitment and sensitivity to its clients
  • Led an organisational transformation program covering strategy, operating model, governance, structure, and resources, delivering significant financial and non-financial benefits
  • Partnered with executives on organisational improvements initiatives to support business priorities; including advising on organisational design, change management, leadership capacity, communication, industrial relations, enhancing performance and process improvement
  • Led initiatives that lifted leadership capability; including transformation leadership, coaching, peer learning, work-based learning, adaptive leadership and high-performing leadership teams.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Nicole was the director of human resources (HR) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).  She held senior roles in the Queensland Government, including as deputy director-general corporate at Transport and Main Roads, and the head of people and culture at Gold Coast and Central Queensland Health Services.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, Graduate Diploma of Psychology from Griffith University, and a Master of Business Administration from QUT.  She is a member of the Stepping Stone management committee, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course, and a member of the Australian HR Institute.

In her spare time...

Nicole enjoys the beach, reading and bushwalking and has an interest in health and wellbeing.
