Nicole is a consultant in the Public Policy Practice in Canberra. Her natural communication and calm presence helps her to engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure constructive and professional relationships. Her previous professional experience within the Royal Australian Navy and studying abroad encourages a well-disciplined and culturally-sensitive approach to her work. She combines her strategic thinking with extensive knowledge of future customer and client needs. Clients value her understanding of international and domestic social factors that form the basis of her insightful, practical and realistic recommendations.

Influential work

  • Co-facilitated strategic planning and leadership workshops to support changes to a government organisation’s structure and ensure success in the implementation of the new organisational structure and priorities
  • Designed and created an implementation plan for a new resourcing tool to ensure government agencies succeed in achieving their new strategic plan and stakeholder goals
  • Developed and analysed the baseline skills and capabilities through a skills gap analysis within a Commonwealth Government agency to develop a future workforce strategic plan
  • Designed a new organisation structure for a territory government agency to improve community and stakeholder access to allow them to achieve their new goals and demands
  • Benchmarked corporate services in a Commonwealth department to community and APS standards through systematic analysis of large amount of data.

Outside of Nous

Nicole holds a Master of National Security Policy (Advanced) with First Class Honours from the Australian National University, a Bachelor of Arts (Government and International Relations and Socio-Legal Studies) from the University of Sydney. She participated in the international student exchange program at the University of Alberta, Canada and received the International Student Exchange Scholarship from the University of Sydney. She was a member of the Future Strategic Leaders Program at the Institute for Regional Security and participated in an Australian Institute for International Affairs masterclass on intelligence led by Allan Gyngell AO. She is a former sailor in the Royal Australian Navy.

In her spare time...

Nicole loves to cook and explore different Canberra cafes and restaurants and travelling to new places. She enjoys taking advantage of Canberra winters to ski and reading about international security issues.
