Peta uses an analytical approach to problem solving, drawing on her background in law and policy. She combines skills in research and analysis with creativity and thoughtfulness to produce work that is evidence-based and insightful. She is driven by a desire to do high-impact work that creates meaningful and positive outcomes for clients.

Influential work

  • Worked with a high-profile not-for-profit organisation to introduce and implement community fundraising initiatives for gender equality advocacy and the prevention of violence against women
  • Worked with a large government directorate on a project to transform the management of statutory delegations and improve internal governance
  • Provided high-level support to a Supreme Court judge with complex legal work by assisting with research, drafting, and speech-writing.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Peta worked as the senior associate to a judge of the ACT Supreme Court. She has held positions at Legal Aid ACT and in commercial and family law.

Peta has experience in the not-for-profit sector, including interning with UN Women NC Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts with a major in sociology from the Australian National University. She is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of the ACT.

In her spare time...

In her spare time, Peta practices yoga, makes pottery and participates in a book club. She is learning to surf and embraces every opportunity to spend time in the great outdoors.
