Sally brings extensive experience working in health and social policy at an international, federal and state level; as well as within the not-for-profit sector. She works personably and proactively with clients; and as a strong critical and strategic thinker can clearly recognises clients’ problems and delve into alternative solutions.

Influential work

  • Substantially contributed to the development of a five-year Drug and Alcohol Information and Communication Strategy
  • Developed a medicinal cannabis commercialisation model and capabilities report
  • Jointly facilitated a governance refresher program for the Northern New South Wales Local Health District Board and Executive Team.
  • Developed recommendations for a five-year juvenile justice internal strategic plan and produced a report looking at pathways to reduce juvenile remand volumes
  • Contributed to a three-year evaluation of a national health program; including leading the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare ethics application and approval process, contributing to the evaluation plan, leadingthe development of an international comparative review and developing the consultation engagement plan.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Sally worked for a leading Australian non-government organisation providing and developing training for health professionals on viral hepatitis and substance use and held policy positions with both the Australian and NSW Governments.

Prior to entering the Australian Public Service, Sally undertook an internship with the World Health Organization Management of Substance Abuse team in Geneva, Switzerland. While studying she also held various paralegal positions before being admitted as a solicitor to the NSW Supreme Court in 2013.

Sally holds Bachelors of Laws and Arts from Macquarie University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal practice from the College of Law Sydney, and a Master of Health Policy from The University of Sydney.

In her spare time...

Sally’s biggest love is travel, including exploring new countries. She enjoys reading, baking extravagant cakes, going to the beach and spending time with her friends.
