Sally brings extensive experience working in health and social policy at an international, federal and state level; as well as within the not-for-profit sector. She works personably and proactively with clients; and as a strong critical and strategic thinker can clearly recognises clients’ problems and delve into alternative solutions.

Influential work

  • Led the development, adaption and delivery of hepatitis C workshops for medical clinicians across Australia and Canada, including developing program content and facilitating workshops
  • Significantly contributed to a policy options paper on voluntary out-of- home care for children and young people for a New South Wales (NSW) Government department
  • Supported the development of new working arrangements between a NSW Government department and a federal government agency
  • Analysed and developed treatment standards for substance abuse treatment centres.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Sally worked for a leading Australian non-government organisation providing and developing training for health professionals on viral hepatitis and substance use and held policy positions with both the Australian and NSW Governments.

Prior to entering the Australian Public Service, Sally undertook an internship with the World Health Organization Management of Substance Abuse team in Geneva, Switzerland. While studying she also held various paralegal positions before being admitted as a solicitor to the NSW Supreme Court in 2013.

Sally holds Bachelors of Laws and Arts from Macquarie University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal practice from the College of Law Sydney, and a Master of Health Policy from The University of Sydney.

In her spare time...

Sally’s biggest love is travel, including exploring Australia and new countries. When in Sydney she enjoys reading, baking extravagant cakes, going to the beach and spending time with her friends.
