Sally’s experience in the creative communications industry has enabled her to make complex problems simple through insightful thinking and strategic solutions. She has a keen interest in public health and the ability for design and communications to positively influence human behaviour. Sally’s educational background is in marketing, psychology and international business, and she has experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Influential work

  • Examined the influence of message framing on the support of public health policies aimed at combating obesity in a randomised controlled study that was published in a co-authored paper in the European Journal of Marketing
  • Conducted a retrospective study of a high school transition group for children with acquired brain injury at the rehabilitation department at the Children’s Hospital Westmead
  • Assisted with the design, management and delivery of a communications campaign for one of New South Wales’ largest not-for-profit community service providers, designed to refer patients between otherwise separate services streams
  • Assisted with the delivery of a communications campaign encompassing social, digital and OOH components and designed to increase public interest in foster caring; resulting in more than three times the number of enquires year-to-date
  • Assisted with developing the client relationship and smooth running of daily deliverables for an advertising agency’s largest account
  • Assisted with distilling industry trends and consumer insights to develop the basis of a creative communications platform for the launch of a new product.

Outside of Nous...

Before joining Nous, Sally worked within highly awarded full-service creative advertising agencies, assisting with the strategic development and project management of integrated advertising campaigns for some of their largest clients. Prior to advertising, Sally completed a Bachelor of Commerce (liberal studies) at the University of Sydney, where she also undertook an honours research year, examining the influence of attribution theory applied to communication frames on support for particular public health policies.

In her spare time...

Sally loves exploring the outdoors by running, travelling and hiking. She also enjoys art exhibitions, farmers’ markets and cooking for friends and family.
