Simone is an experienced consultant who manages large and complex projects for clients across the public and private sectors. She has particular expertise in health and human services; but also works in defence, education and financial services. Her work focuses on working with clients to undertake large-scale organisational reviews, service system redesigns, policy and program reviews and evaluations, strategic planning, and policy development.

Influential work

  • Led the work for a state government to redesign the state’s domestic and family violence service system
  • Designed and led an evaluation of a large-scale leadership development program for the Australian arm of a global defence organisation
  • Worked with a national information agency to undertake an extensive organisational review to support sustainability and improved performance
  • Developed the New South Wales (NSW) Health Analytics Strategy to support improved use and uptake of analytics across the NSW health system
  • Undertook a review of state-wide telehealth use to assist a state health department to improve access to health care; particularly in regional, rural and remote areas.

Outside of Nous

 

Prior to joining Nous, Simone worked at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra and Manila. Before that, she held health-related roles in Canada and Kenya in the areas of women’s health and infectious diseases. She has also undertaken research on health issues faced by Aboriginal populations in Australia and Canada.

Simone has a Masters in International Public Health from The University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from The University of Queensland. She has also studied at Queen’s University in Canada.

In her spare time...

Simone enjoys travelling to visit family in sunny Queensland and friends further abroad, and keeps active by running, swimming and horse riding.
