Stefie is a director at Nous with over seven years of experience consulting to government and university clients. She loves thinking deeply about public policy challenges and combining quantitative analysis with a nuanced understanding of her client’s challenges to deliver lasting solutions. Stefie is passionate about collaborating closely with her clients and stakeholders and has worked on a number of projects that have involved being embedded within client teams for extended periods, and leading large stakeholder engagement programs.

Influential work

  • Program managed the design of an operating model for a large government agency that has improved customer focus and accountability and which was described as “the most positive experience” they have had with consultants
  • Managed Nous’ review of Smart and Skilled, a major reform to vocational education and training in New South Wales
  • Managed successful improvement initiatives for a leading Australian university; including designing the marketing and communications functions, developing opportunities for international engagement, and redesigning the arts and social sciences course portfolio
  • Worked on over 10 reviews and evaluations for government clients, primarily in education and human services
  • Managed a range of projects providing policy advice to government; including on future approaches to strategic commissioning, vocational education and training (VET) policy settings and early childhood development policy.

Outside of Nous

Stefie was previously with PwC’s Economics and Policy Consulting team and has worked as a higher education adviser in the public sector. Stefie has represented Australian university students in a number of international forums, including United Nations Conferences.

In her spare time...

In her spare time, Stefie enjoys going to the theatre and taking tap dancing classes. She enjoys learning new things and recently took up French and tennis lessons.
