Steve originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia and moved to London with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in a corporate finance role. He then joined the mergers and acquisitions group of Shearson Lehman Hutton in New York. Returning home to Australia, he has held senior roles including managing director, Australia of the global creative agency Imagination; and principal, management consulting with Arup, the design and engineering firm. Most recently, Steve was global advisor, technology & innovation for Fujitsu; and digital partner at Cognizant, where he led digital strategy projects and brought their global offerings around data, analytics, AI, internet of things (IoT) and cloud computing to enterprise clients in Australia. He is an accomplished author and public speaker on technology, innovation and consulting.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). He is an accredited lead facilitator of Walking the Talk and has a cloud practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services.
Steve’s adventures have seen him climb Mt Kilimanjaro, walk 2,500kms on the Camino de Santiago and in 2013 support a re-enactment of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s century-old Antarctic survival journey.
