Tim is an experienced consultant specialising in the education sector, with a focus on quality analysis, project management, expert facilitation and strategic development. He has worked both internally and externally as a consultant for education providers, with clients valuing the insight he brings through presenting clear and concise analysis while developing trust with stakeholders.

Influential work

  • Advised the chief executive officer and minister for education responsible for a large public vocational education and training (VET) provider on its response to the national regulator
  • On behalf of four leading Australian universities, developed the model and business case for investment in a first-of-its-kind collaboration project, the Sydney Quantum Academy, building agreement and commitment across all parties and developing a case for investment
  • Redesigned a leading higher education provider’s teaching and learning experience, including co-creating a new graduate attribute framework; and designed two large-scale summits to inspire over 100 staff, students and industry members
  • Worked with a ‘Group of Eight’ (Go8) university’s senior leaders to develop its future strategy
  • Authored a detailed business case for a Go8 university’s large-scale, transformational civic renewal and student experience project; including developing a financial model to provide investment decision guidance.

Outside of Nous

Tim’s first career was as a professional musician, performing with and administering many of Australia’s leading orchestras and ensembles. He then spent several years at the University of Melbourne, most recently working with the internal management consulting team.

Tim holds an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, and both Bachelor and Masters (research) degrees from the University of Melbourne in Music.

Tim enjoys good food and wine, particularly from Spain, where he tries to travel each year.
