Yaron is passionate about people and developing pragmatic, nuanced and lasting solutions to complex problems. He is recognised as an innovative strategic thinker, an engaging and influential communicator and an analytically rigorous, structured problem-solver. He has experience working with a range of government agencies and not-for-profit organisations on strategic planning, policy development, process improvement and program evaluation. Clients value Yaron’s collaborative working style and ability to infuse a unique blend of empathy, respect and good-natured humour into everything he does.

Influential work

  • Co-developed a strategic asset plan for a Western Australian (WA) Government department to enable it to optimise its $16B of land and building assets and more effectively meet its service delivery objectives
  • Facilitated an interactive workshop on behalf of a leading community services provider to engage cross-service stakeholders and evaluate the roll-out of a pioneering service delivery model
  • Designed a data collection and measurement process for a WA Government department to create greater efficiencies in the processing of applications and enquiries
  • Provided a leading Australian law firm and an Australian Government agency with a report summarising and analysing key lessons from family and domestic violence programs targeting Indigenous communities in various countries
  • Reviewed a grants program that supports people with disability to participate in family and community life and proposed recommendations to ensure that it remained feasible, sustainable and effective.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Yaron worked as a consultant at 180 Degrees Consulting, an officer at the WA Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage and a public affairs intern at the US Consulate in Perth. He also has a deep sense of community-mindedness and has held several volunteer leadership positions in informal education, youth mentoring and pastoral care in aged care.

Yaron holds a Bachelor of Arts (honours in politics and international relations) from The University of Notre Dame Australia and a Bachelor of Arts (political science, international relations and human resource management) from The University of Western Australia. He has a strong research interest in US foreign policy, particularly regarding the role that the US plays in maintaining security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

In his spare time...

Yaron delights in musical theatre and enjoys a good road trip. He loves spending time with family and friends and relishes drinking hot full-bodied coffee and ice-cold craft beer.
